Ellen Rutt & UICA's Exit Space Project in Grand Rapids

Ellen Rutt, a Detroit based artist and designer, just made Grand Rapids look a whole lot more interesting and beautiful. Feeling thankful for the UICA for bringing her talent over here as part of their Exit Space Project and for always providing exciting and fresh ideas to the Midwest.

I photographed for twenty minutes as Ellen and Patrick Ethen finished up her mural. I then re-visited the mural later after its completion the following morning and evening. If you're in the area, you don't want to miss it in person! Head over to the retaining wall of the I-196 ramp on Division in Grand Rapids to see the real deal. It's magnificent.

If you're an artist and would like some extensive imagery of your creative process and final product, please reach out to me! Painters, instrument makers, boat crafters, wood makers, furniture design, illustrators, musicians, anything that involves a physical process... I'm interested.
